Credit Bureau Services
A credit bureau provides valuable credit information services. They gather financial information on people and use it to help creditors to decide whether they should give a borrower a loan. They gain this information from various sources, mainly financial institutions and provide a broad picture of the borrowers ability to repay loans and the of the various credit history information available on them. They provide the same credit reports for the borrower to peruse. This basically lets the borrower see how they can improve their credit ratings.
They can also be heavily involved in credit collection and the location of assets using the financial information that they acquire. A credit bureau can also advise a creditor on when the right time would be to start a litigation process in order to have their borrowed funds returned. Some may even generate credit leads on the Internet using information garnered from prospective borrowers, which they then sell on to creditors in order to connect new credit relationships between lending companies and borrowers.
