Consumer Report
Consumer report refers to any written or oral communication of a consumer reporting agency. Consumer report is also known as credit report. It bears information on the consumer credit worthiness, credit capacity, credit standing, character reputation, personal characteristics, standard of living and much more.
All these are factors for determining the consumer's eligibility for credit, employment or insurance. A credit report generally includes information on a consumer's past residences, jobs, credit accounts, payment history of those accounts and the duration of the account and the presence of charged off accounts , collection agency accounts , bankruptcies , tax liens or any other negative information unfavorable to the consumer or information relating to payment of debts , borrowing pattern etc
Generally consumers are allowed to get one free credit report from all of the three major credit reporting agencies on the annual basis.
